Pat Stovold is a past Captain and past President of Surrey Ladies’ County Golf Association. She is a great supporter of Surrey Ladies’ Golf, with particular emphasis on the development of junior golf and the encouragement of talented young golfers to County First Team standard. Pat introduced the Stovold Trophy to the South Region golfing calendar in 1997. The format has remained essentially the same over the years with teams of six (reduced from eight in 2015) playing foursomes in the morning and singles in the afternoon – two home and two away matches in rotation.
