Enfield GC defend the Jim Robert's Cup

Stanmore GC was in magnificent condition and it was the perfect host for our annual Jim Robert's Cup, a fun and social day to honour Jim Roberts who was the Junior Organiser at North Middlesex Golf Club and who founded the Friern League in 1978. It is also a day to celebrate and thank our juniors and especially our junior organisers.

The format is a four-person team event, comprising of three juniors and the club's junior organiser. Stableford, two scores to count on each hole.

Pinner Hill CG, Strawberry Hill GC, Muswell Hill GC, Stanmore GC, and Enfield GC all entered teams but it was the all-female Enfield GC team who took home the spoils and successfully defended their title with 86 points. Well done to Kathryn Tiddy, Issy Brunskill, Eleanor Dagger, and Katie Roper.

Abhi Sohal won closest to the pin and Joe Wooldridge won a raffled prize as nobody (!!!) hit the fairway on 18 to qualify for the longest drive.

Thanks to all the clubs and that entered and a special thank you to your junior organiser. Your hard work and devotion to junior golf are essential and we appreciate everything that you do.
